Nelligala Temple🙏

                             This temple is located on a large rock  called Nelligala in the village of Muruthalawa in the Kandy District. This temple is located at an elevation of 700m above sea level. Most recently, this temple was built. It was built in 2014, conserving a scrub forest. 

                              My favorite place in this temple is the statue of God Sumana Saman. This shows God Sumana Saman mounts a white elephant and looks at Sri Padasthana. This is a sculptural work of art. This is very delicate work art. I have been looking at this artwork for a long time. 

                                 

                     The dagoba designed here is of a different shape. It takes the shape of a bubble. It is painted gold. 

                      Another specially of the place is that the statues are painted in gold. 

                               Looking around form this place we can see about half of Sri Lanka. The sunrise in the morning as well as the sunset in the evening looks very beautiful.

                                 

                                 I also tell you to definitely go visit this place. Regardless of your religion, visit the place to see the beauty and value of Sri Lanka. You can humbly proud of being a Sri Lankan.

Agriculture in Our village🍀 Episode 3 : My Grandmother's Grandfather's Chili Plantation

                       My grandmother and grandfather were very talented farmers. They have been engaged in farming since their youth. Most of them are commercially grown crops. Now they are old but still farming. 

                    At the present they have a very fertile chili plantation. First, put the chili seeds  nursery. When the seedlings are some big, they are planted in the prepared ground. Then put fertilize and water very well. After a some days the weeds start to grow in this area.  Depending on their age, the difficulty of weed escape is arise.  Then my younger brother and I were help them. 

                     After about a month, the chilies being to flowers. There are very small flowers. There are white color flowers. 

             Then the small chili pods begin to grow. Once grown, they are harvested for sale. Slightly, ripe chili pods are harvested for food. A portion of the chili pods is set aside to prepare the seeds required for replacing.

Diyawini Alla Waterfall 🐟

                    This waterfall is located in the village of Diyawinna, a short distance form Balangoda town in the Rathnapura district of the Sabaragamuwa Province. This village is very close to the lowland dry zone.  Therefore, during the dry season, the water level in the waterfall decreases. However, this waterfall is very beautiful. 

                          Our uncle and aunt came to our house in April in this year. We all went to see this waterfall. But only my two brothers, two uncles and me climbed up the waterfall.

                            It was very enjoyable experience. We climbed up the waterfall in the middle of the waterfall. But sometimes it was an adventurous experience. Had to climb over very large rocks. 

                          There was a risk of slipping in some places. We had to take off our sandals and hang them on a pole. This is how we climbed to the waterfall. Then we had to walk across the waterfall to descend through the jungle again. It was extremely difficult. Finally we came to the village in the middle of the jungle. 

         

Anuradhapura 🙏😍💗

               My family went to Anuradhapura to get my grandfather's medicine. After taking the medicine we went to visit several places. it's very funny. But sometimes my youngest brother was crying for toys. 

              

                  

 

    

       First we worshiped Sri Maha Bodhi. That environment is very quiet. I like it very much. We stayed there for about an hour. 

         

          

             Second we worshiped Ruwanweli Maha seya. That dagoba is my favorite dagoba. It was very large.

    

          Then we visit the Jethawanarama dagoba. It is the biggest dagoba in Sri Lanka. This had been crumbling for a while. But the dagoba is currently being renovated. 

      

           Next we visit "Samadhi Budu Pilima". It was amazing art ever. I like it very much and I respect to the Pilima wahanse.

 

           Finally we visit "Kuttam Pokuna". It was a swimming pool. But not yet. Now it is only allowed to view. 

                   Then we come back home. This trip was very small but it was very interesting. I love this trip.

Isurumuni Raja Maha Viharaya🙏

            It is one of the most beautiful temples located in the sacred city of Anuradhapura. This temple is a very famous. This temple was a place where one could get a clear ides of the development of the arts at history. Here are two of the most famous arts. They are describe below.

1. Man and Horse Head

                 This is a sculptural work of art. These design are made of the this stone as seen here. A very delicate art. I really like horse head here. I see it as a rare creation. 

2. Isurumuni Loving Couple 

              This can be describe as the most famous art of Isurumuni temple. This is a sculptural work of art. This is very delicate work art. Designed to highlight delicate areas of the body. I really like this design. 

                       There are many more arts of this temple. I really like that antiquity here. 

Homemade Club Sandwich 😋

                                      This is a slightly different experience for me. But I thought I would share my latest experience with you. Because I'm a little lazy to cook and work in the kitchen. But when no one is at home, specially when Mother is not home, I have to prepare something to eat. This is also about such a day.

                                           After thinking for a while, I suddenly remembered that I wanted to make a Club Sandwich. That's because it can be made very easily and quickly. So my only help when my mother is not at home is the "Ape Amma" YouTube channel. Usually, you need at least Rs.500 to buy a club sandwich.

                                          But since, I live in a village, I have to go to the city to get such a meal. So the best thing is to make them at home. Fortunately, I was able to find the things I needed for the club sandwich at home. Also, I'm glad that most of the basic necessities are from my backyard and my dad's farm. Salad leaves, eggs (we have chicken in our house), tomatoes, green chilies, peppers, etc. 

                                        It cost a lot to buy from the shop but it cost me very little to make it very clean and beautiful as a nutritious meal. And one that tastes a lot better than I thought. So I decided not to be lazy. Practice making more different dishes. You too can make small meals like this. We can learn a lot of new things from this

Ruwanweli Maha Seya🙏

                                     Ruwanweli seya built by King Dutugemunu. There are many stories about this dagoba. It is said there was a tree in the past at the place where this dagoba was built and that a tree goddess (Swarnamali goddess) on that tree. The king requested the goddess to cut down the tree and built this dagoba. The goddess then said she would like the request if her name was given to this dagoba. The king consented to this and named this dagoba as "Swarnamali Dagoba". History states that king Dutugemunu died before the construction of this dagoba was completed.

                     This dagoba is one of the most revered dagobas in Sri Lanka. This is located in the sacred city of Anuradhapura. It is a place that attracts the attention of foreign tourists. 

                        When I was eight years old, I saw this dagoba for the first time. This dagoba is a very large. I feel refreshed as I walk around the dagoba. I think a lot of time "How much effort did it take to build such a large dagoba?" 

                                                    I have great respect for Ruwanweli Maha Seya.🙏 

          

The sandalwood park in the Capital

 

                 Another place I was amazed and proud of was “ National Sandun Uyana” on the Japan friendship road, Battaramulla. I came to Punchi's house in Nugegoda with a change as I was trapped at home with the Corona pandemic. That evening we went for a walk to the Jogging Path in Parliament. 

                      This is a slightly different experience for me. I've been here before but that day I saw a new change. It is really an amazing experience for me still. At that time, I thought that I was just in another country. The scene is truly captivating. With light all around, a lot of people walk around like that freely. I saw that the little ones were very happy. 

                    At first, it looked like a small garden but I saw its value when I went inside. 1000 sandalwood trees have already been planted here and it was realized that they are well maintained. Having such a nature park in a very urban environment and giving another value to a sandalwood tree like a very valuable plant was considered something to be highly appreciated.

                           And the most important thing I find when I look for more about this is that there are about 900 white sandalwood plants and about 300 red sandalwood plants. Sandalwood is also known for its aroma and medical properties and its ability to release 7 times more oxygen than any other plant. When I left Sadun Park, thought I wanted to come here again with my friends after University Started.

Sri Maha Bodhiya🙏

                      This is a sacred tree located in Anuradhapura. The name of tree Asathu. first this tree was located in Buddhagaya, India. This tree that the Lord Buddha gave shade for enlightenment. Loard Buddha had been staring at this tree for a week, he waiting without batting eyelid it in gratitude. This tree was brought to Sri Lanka around the 3rd century by Ven. Sanghamiththa thero here. 

                         Today it is considered to be the oldest tree ever plated by man.

                         This is the sacred tree of the Buddhists. They worship this tree with great devotion. Here, Buddhists make prayers for various tasks. Sri Maha Bodhi is planted slightly above ground level. As I have heard, it was planted to protect against wild elephants. 

                               When I was eight years old, I saw this tree for the first time. At the time my uncle was shot while serving in the army and was in critical condition. We held Bodhi Pojas every morning and evening to speed up his recovery. 

                                  I have great respect for Sri Maha Bodhi. That is because this tree was an exile for the creation of a sacred religion in this world. 

                      

My Favorite Actor 👀😁😍

Oh my goodness!!!!

                            I really don't know how to start this post.... I'm very excited...😇 So... let's start here😊

    

        His nick name is "King Khan". His name is Shahruk Khan. He was born 2nd of November 1965. Now, he is 56 years old. His wife name is Gauri Khan. He has three children. 

                  He was a man who showed his full potential. As I see he is one of the best actor ever. There is no one who can expression himself so well. But he is also not a handsome actor. He has a big nose and he is a bit short compared to other actors. But his ability is superior to all others. He was also a man who recognized his potential and valued it. 

                As far as I can remember, I first saw one of his films when I was four years old. That is the Veer Sara movie. It is a great movie. It covers how to love affects a boundary. It shows the love to two people living in two conflicting countries, surrounded by land on all four sides. No matter how young I was, it eventually ended to make me cry. That's because he gave those emotional to his audience so well.

                       Of these, I like the most movie is Devdas. That movie is very emotional. It is known in India as the "The tear of cinema". I love this movie very much. 

                   He is my favorite actor because of his brilliant acting. I feel his acting a lot more than other actors. He grows old but his expressions never get old. 

             I'm sure he's  my favorite actor until I die.
